What can I sell?

1. A broad marketplace

REVEND does not want to unnecessarily restrict legitimate products that buyers and sellers can safely transact.

New, pre-owned, refurbished and other legitimate goods may generally be listed where they comply with applicable law, REVEND rules and the requirements of the delivery and payment services used for the transaction.

A product does not become prohibited simply because it is large, heavy, unusual, specialised or difficult to ship. The relevant question is whether an available REVEND delivery service can lawfully and practically transport it.

2. Products generally suitable for REVEND

Subject to the rules in this policy, REVEND may support a wide range of products, including:

• phones and technology;
• computers and electronics;
• gaming equipment;
• home appliances;
• furniture and household goods;
• clothing and fashion;
• shoes and accessories;
• sports and outdoor equipment;
• tools and equipment;
• building and DIY products;
• automotive parts and accessories;
• office and business equipment;
• books and educational products;
• toys and hobby products;
• collectibles;
• art and décor;
• baby and children's products where legally permitted;
• musical equipment;
• garden equipment;
• industrial equipment;
• commercial equipment; and
• other lawful products that can be transported through an available REVEND delivery method.

3. Courier capability matters

REVEND uses managed delivery as an important part of the transaction process.

Whether a particular item can be sold may therefore depend on whether an available courier or logistics provider can accept the parcel.

Courier restrictions may depend on factors such as:

• weight;
• dimensions;
• volumetric weight;
• value;
• fragility;
• contents;
• packaging;
• collection location;
• delivery location;
• dangerous-goods classification;
• insurance availability; and
• the rules of the selected courier service.

An item that one courier cannot transport may still be eligible if another approved REVEND delivery service can lawfully transport it.

4. Oversized and heavy products

REVEND does not automatically prohibit an item because it is oversized or heavy.

Furniture, equipment, machinery, large appliances, automotive components, building products and similar items may be eligible where a suitable delivery service is available.

If REVEND cannot obtain an appropriate delivery option for a particular product or route, the transaction may not be available until a suitable delivery method is supported.

5. Prohibited items

Products must not be listed where their sale, possession, distribution or transportation is unlawful.

Prohibited items include, where applicable:

• stolen goods;
• goods obtained through fraud or other criminal activity;
• counterfeit goods;
• illegal copies or pirated physical goods;
• illegal drugs and unlawful controlled substances;
• illegal drug-manufacturing products or materials;
• explosives and unlawful explosive devices;
• illegal firearms, ammunition or weapons;
• weapons or regulated items where the transaction or transport would breach applicable law;
• unlawfully possessed prescription medicines;
• products whose sale is prohibited by law;
• fraudulent identity documents;
• forged certificates or official documents;
• stolen financial information;
• illegal surveillance or interception equipment;
• human remains or body parts;
• illegal wildlife products;
• goods obtained through unlawful wildlife trade;
• illegal pornographic material;
• sexual material involving minors;
• products subject to an applicable legal prohibition;
• products that cannot lawfully be transported through any available REVEND delivery service; and
• any item whose sale would expose REVEND or its users to unlawful activity.

6. Restricted items

Some products are not necessarily prohibited in all circumstances but may require additional controls, verification or a specialised delivery service.

Restricted items may include:

• high-value goods;
• fragile products;
• large or unusually heavy goods;
• products containing batteries;
• certain lithium battery products;
• liquids;
• aerosols;
• chemicals;
• flammable products;
• perishable products;
• regulated medical products;
• age-restricted products;
• valuable collectibles;
• precious items;
• vehicle-related products;
• industrial products; and
• any product subject to special courier, insurance, payment-provider or legal requirements.

Eligibility depends on the specific product, applicable law and the services available for the transaction.

7. Dangerous goods

Certain products are classified as dangerous goods for transport purposes.

Sellers must accurately identify products containing hazardous, flammable, explosive, corrosive, pressurised, toxic or otherwise regulated materials.

Such products may only be sold through REVEND where their sale is lawful and an available delivery provider expressly supports the relevant transport requirements.

A seller must never conceal dangerous contents in order to obtain a standard courier booking.

8. Counterfeit products

Counterfeit products are not permitted.

A seller must not falsely represent a replica, imitation or unauthorised product as genuine.

REVEND may request information reasonably necessary to investigate authenticity concerns and may remove a listing or restrict an account where appropriate.

9. Stolen goods

Stolen goods are strictly prohibited.

Sellers must have the lawful right to sell the product they list.

REVEND may request reasonable proof of ownership, transaction records, serial numbers or other information when investigating suspected stolen goods.

REVEND may cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement or other competent authorities.

10. Product safety and recalls

Sellers must not knowingly sell products where their sale is prohibited because of an applicable safety recall or legal safety restriction.

Sellers must disclose material safety-related defects or conditions where disclosure is required and the product may lawfully still be sold.

11. Accurate parcel information

Sellers must provide accurate parcel information when required for managed delivery.

This includes reasonably accurate:

• weight;
• length;
• width;
• height;
• product type; and
• information relevant to special handling or courier restrictions.

Incorrect parcel information may result in additional courier charges, rejected collection, delayed delivery or cancellation of the shipment.

12. Packaging

The seller is responsible for packaging the item appropriately for the selected delivery method.

Packaging must reasonably protect the product during normal transport and comply with applicable courier requirements.

Products requiring specialised packaging must not be presented to a courier in ordinary packaging if doing so would be unsafe or breach courier rules.

13. Payment-provider restrictions

Payment providers may prohibit or restrict transactions involving certain product categories.

A product may therefore be unavailable for sale through REVEND even where possession of that product is otherwise lawful, if the payment service required for the transaction does not permit it.

REVEND may restrict a listing where necessary to comply with payment-provider requirements.

14. Seller responsibility

The seller is responsible for ensuring that the seller has the legal right to sell the item.

Sellers are also responsible for providing truthful information about the product and complying with applicable legal, courier and platform requirements.

REVEND's acceptance of a listing does not constitute a legal determination that the item may lawfully be sold.

15. Listings may be reviewed or removed

REVEND may review, restrict, suspend or remove a listing where there is a reasonable concern that the product:

• is unlawful;
• is stolen;
• is counterfeit;
• is fraudulent;
• creates a material safety risk;
• breaches courier restrictions;
• breaches payment-provider restrictions;
• breaches REVEND's Terms & Conditions; or
• otherwise creates a material legal or operational risk.

16. Circumventing restrictions

Sellers must not deliberately miscategorise, disguise or falsely describe an item to avoid REVEND, courier, payment or legal restrictions.

Attempting to circumvent a restriction may result in listing removal, transaction cancellation, account restrictions or suspension.

17. REVEND may add delivery options

REVEND may integrate additional courier, freight and logistics providers over time.

As additional delivery capabilities become available, products that could not previously be transported may become eligible for transactions through REVEND.

This allows the marketplace to expand without unnecessarily banning legitimate product categories.

If you are unsure whether an unusual or restricted product may be sold through REVEND, submit a support request before listing it.

REVEND can review the product against available platform, courier and payment requirements.

19. Relationship with other REVEND policies
